Last night we did a, check it, 6.5 hour long training in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Chris Pelissie (a Master Trader in my book) opened up and taught basic information, strategies, and literally went from step one to step ten over the course of the night. I think people were energized, reinvigorated, and very thankful to him for his time and talent.
So... I got home (to Farmington Utah) at about 1:30 am. I told myself that it probably wouldn't be wise to trade at 6:30, because of the lack of sleep.
Then, as it happens when you have small children, my two-year-old woke up at about 6:00 am and was relentless about staying awake. My wife, bless her, tried to get her calmed down - which worked for about a minute or two - but to no avail. I must tell you that when I returned home last night (early this morning) my wife Joy was up bottling pears. So she was not well rested either.
Regardless to say, I ultimately got up (around 6:15) and went into my office to trade. But because of my personal rule of not trading if you're not in the "zone" so-to-speak, I decided to make the trade on paper, or simulation - not live.
I also decided to practice another strategy taught by MMT just to hone my skills. Well, the strategy did not work for this trade, and I lost it (paper, mind you).
I played another calendared MMT trade, only I traded it live. I won 3.5 points and then made a poor choice and lost 2.0. So I was up today 1.5 points live.
Have a great day.

Tuesday, September 28th
I'm sorry for not posting this earlier. I had a trade on Tuesday, September 28th and I just neglected to getting it posted.
As you can see, I got filled short on negative news and quickly made $500 (using just $2000 in the market). That's a quick 25% return on my money in just seconds. This was a textbook trade for me.
I didn't have any trades on Wednesday the 29th.
I'll post the Thursday's trades in a separate post.
Cheers. :)

Losing Day For Me
You can click on the images to see them larger.
My first trade was a loser. My second one, I had a profit target set too high, and ended up just getting one tic overall.
Looking for a better trading week next week. Have a great weekend.

Loss then win. Up one tic for the day.
This morning's early trade, I got into a trade "backwards". Just as the news came out, the market jumped up and got me into a long position and then the news came in negative. It hit my stop loss, and I was out.
My second trade, I got in long and made 2.25 points so I was up for the day.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Housing Starts / Building Permits / FOMC
Today's trades went only moderately, as I finally broke even for the day. It should be said that I had three winning trades and one losing trade. But the losing trade was 2.0 points of loss.
The first trade slipped past me, unfortunately, so I jumped in later and only got one tic.
I traded the FOMC announcement too early, and ended up getting a big loss. Then made it up overall after two more trades.
I will not be trading tomorrow, so we'll see you back here on Thursday. :)

From Last Week - Thursday & Friday
Sorry I haven't been back here for awhile. I was away in China for a couple of weeks, and just never got around to posting these trades from last week until now. Thursday I lost my trades based on a technical issue that I finally figured out AFTER I lost $600. :(
Friday I had a winning day.
I will post today's trades separately.

Two Trades, Two Wins
Well, this rounds off a decent week for me. I switched brokers and managed to pull profits at the same time!
Yesterday was my only loss for the week. My weekly stats are:
I won 7 of 8 trades, and I was up 12.5 points or 125% on the money I was trading.
Here are the two trades from today.
Have a great weekend!

September 2, 2010 - Late Post
I completely spaced posting my two trades from yesterday. Yesterday was my first day live with Infinity, so I was extremely anxious about it.
My first trade I lost, and it was because I had forgotten to check a little box. Technical stuff.
I won my second trade, but barely. I had my profit target set too high and it simply didn't hit it. It reversed and hit my "advanced" stop loss (which was moved up to secure my entry and guarantee a win).
I will post my Friday trades in a separate post.
