Ni Hao! Greetings from Hong Kong

And, Yes!  Trading works from over here.

I traded the Consumer Confidence announcement and it worked like a charm.  Only difference was that it's late in the evening instead of early in the morning.

Here is a quick snapshot of my P&L.

I ended up catching 1.5 points in just a matter of about two minutes.  It was a smooth trade that worked out perfectly.

See, anyone can do this.  Even world travellers!

Until next time - have fun trading!

Nice & Easy

No, I'm not talking about the women's shampoo or whatever it is.

I'm talking about today's trade.

It was a walk in the park.  A piece of cake.  No biggie.  I got in, and about a minute and a half later, bit my profit target and was out.  Up $577.00 after commissions.

I got in, hit my target, and was out.  So great!  I love this trading style.

I'm headed for China on Wednesday morning, so I most likely won't be trading the rest of this week.  Who knows, I may get a trade in while I am in Asia.  If I don't, please don't dispair.  I will be back on May 3rd.  :)

All the best!

Losing Trade

I hate posting bad results, but I promised to post everything here.  Anyone who tells you they win all their trades is generally not being truthful, and here's the proof.

I traded this morning, and made some errors in judgement and ended up losing 4.0 points.  At one point (one point only) I was positive and quite happy with the movement, but then it retracted against me and I ended up letting it go way against me.  Not ideal, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Anyway, I'm done with today and happy to move on.

Kevin Bouck Wins! Story Developing!

I am extatic today.  After a lot of "no trades" and a loss last week, I was very anxious to get trading today.  Today's trades were looking like a great way to get going.

First trade:

Second trade: (remember, the P&L is cumulative for the day)

So, let's be honest.  I didn't have a lot of confidence going into my trades today.  I was anxious.  All because of a loss last week along with several days of not much happening (no trades).  I was starting to worry that I was losing my edge.  :0

My wife gets up every morning at 6:00 now to go walking with a neighbor.  I used to sleep until 6:15 so that I wouldn't get to my computer early and fidget around and start doing things I shouldn't.  Well, when her alarm goes off, guess what?  I wake up.  And when I'm anxious about a trade, the last thing I'm going to be able to do is go back to sleep.

So I force myself to stay out of the office until 6:15.  I go to the toilet, get a drink of water, look outside and survey the weather.  I even sometimes make the bed.  All before 6:15.

At 6:15 then I can get into my "groove" and get ready for whatever trade opportunities I have coming up.

Today I made my trades as I should have.  I was in my trades right away and the fundamentals looked good.  One took some time to hit my profit target.  The other was pretty textbook.

And now, I'm off like a dirty shirt to help the masses that are coming in to MMT as students in droves.  It has been an amazing spring, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE what I do.

Those of you who are still thinking about joining MMT, would you please contact me this week?  I would love to hear what is holding you back or what concerns you may have.  A word of caution - there is a lot of crap starting to surface on the faceless, nameless web.  People who post negative stuff there often have ulterior motives and are posting information that is false.  I recommend actually talking to someone who will respond.  Me!  :)  Give me a chance to talk to you about the REAL MMT and the REAL founders - Sean and Jason.  I've known them both for years and am proud to call the true friends and mentors.  They really do have your best interests at heart.  They are not out to scam anyone.  Trust me.  I know they lose some sleep over the negative comments that surface online, because it's a reflection on them.  And I know they hate it.  But there's absolutely nothing they can do, but place rebuttals and move on.

I, for one, am a forward looking person anyway.  Our family motto is "Keep Moving Forward", which is a great thought to end the day.  Be good!

Two Low Impact Trades

Hi!  I bet most of you thought I fell off the face of the earth, right?  Well, I haven't.  I'm still here.  Still trading (or attempting to trade) and still MMT all the way!

Last week, I took some time off and took my family to St. George, Utah and basked in the warmth that Utah's Dixie provides us winter-faring nor-people.  In fact, this morning, I woke up to about three inches of snow!  That's not supposed to happen, right?  :(

But St. George was nice.  Warm, sunny, everything it was supposed to be.

Last week was a very light trading week.  Not just for me, but for all who trade in the Market Mover Trading style.  This week promises to be a better week - a lot more going on - but so far it hasn't been that impressive.

Yesterday there were no scheduled trade opportunities.  Today there were two.  But both had a very low impact on market movement.  I watched them both, but did not get into a trade.  Maybe I'm a little chicken!  :o

By the way, I was talking to a new friend of mine yesterday.  I say a "new" friend, because I would have never met him or his friends were it not for Market Mover Trading.  As we talked it was fun to see his entheusiasm for Market Mover Trading and what it can do to help people get ahead.  Not only the trading income, but the marketing income as well.  People get giddy about this opportunity and I am happy to be a part of something so positive in other people's lives.

So, go out there and make something GREAT happen today!

By the way, many of you are constantly asking for ways to improve or something to read.  I highly recommend a book by Mark Douglas - Trading In The Zone.  You can get a used copy at http://www.amazon.com/ for around $20.00.  Highly worth it, if you ask me.

See ya tomorrow!

No win. No Loss. No big.

April 5, 2010

There was a trading opportunity today, but I simply didn't get into a trade.  I was looking for some nice movement to happen at 8:00, but it didn't formulate for me.  So I didn't trade.

Sometimes that happens...

Today we're packing up our kids and we're heading for St. George for five days.  Wish us luck!  :)

No Foolin'!

April 1, 2010 - April Fool's Day

I wish I was foolin', but I lost my trade today.  I got filled long (in a "buy" position) and the market just reacted strangely and I lost the trade (got stopped out - with my stop loss).

These losses are hard to take sometimes, but as I look at my successes with my trades - which happen over and over and over again, I am still miles ahead of where I was, just a few weeks ago.

I post all my trades so that you can see that this is real life.  I do not win everything.  Today is an example of that.  But I do win a LARGE majority of my trades.

Anyway, I hope you have a fun, productive, somewhat foolish day.

All the best - Kevin
