Two Trades - Two WINS!

While I can't show you everything I do here, I can prove by my P&L's that I am winning.  And I'm winning rather consistently.

This week I had a total of seven trades.  I won all seven.  I am up this week 4.75 points - which is equal to 47.5% on my money I'm trading.  As you can see, I am now trading 16 contracts which is $8000 total.  A 47.5% increase on $8000 grossed me an additional $3800 this week.  Now, who of you couldn't use an extra $3800???  :)

I'm off to Idaho Falls, Idaho today to teach a class to MMT Traders at 6:00 SHARP.  Then we'll break at 6:45 and then have an MMT Introduction Seminar at 7:00.  This is going to be held at the same hotel that we were at last time - the Ameritel Inn & Suites - Spectrum (near the Edwards Theaters/Mall).

Come and make yourselves comfy as I present my view of Market Mover Trading.

See you there!

What Moves You?

March 25, 2010

Really?  What moves you?  What causes you to get up in the morning, get ready for the day, get out and get your work done, etc.?  Often it's something we refer to as "responsibility".  You have responsibility for yourself and those that count on you to provide for them.  But let me ask this question: What, beyond normal "responsiblity" moves or motivates you?  Is it the drive to excell?  The desire to have a better life?  The opportunity to help others outside your own home?

Regardless of whatever it is, that moving desire or motivation is a very important part of our lives.  As we experience success, we feel good about ourselves and our accomplishments.  Generally, we are driven to share it so that others can have success too.

And that's what Market Mover Trading is all about.  That's why I maintain this blog - to prove to you that MMT really is what it says it is.  And that anybody, regardless of whatever situation you may find yourself in, has the potential to make it (and make it big) with the structure, discipline, teachings, and philosophies (not to mention the news, prediction points, trade recaps, etc.) that will help you become an effective MMT Trader in just a few short weeks of first even seeing a trading program.

Today was another prime example.  I had a long-time friend of mine seated beside me during my 30 minute trade today.  He recently signed up with MMT and is getting a hang of things quite nicely.   It was good to go over a lot of the basics of how and why I trade the way I do.  And to then let the fundamentals of my trade take over and net me over $700!

Ladies and gentlemen - I give you today's trade.  One trade.  30 minutes.  Decent profit.

Now, go have a great day!

Three Trades... Three Winners...

Tuesday, March 24, 2010

Three trades.  Three winners.  But a little bit stressful, nonetheless.  It's unusual that my trades are stressful, because I am usually in and out and done in just a few minutes time.  But today's trades took a lot longer and some of the fundamentals were not in place.  Regardless, I was happy to get a win and shut down my trading platform for the day at 9:30.

Honestly, I don't know how regular Day Traders do it.  Sitting in a home office somewhere getting in and out of trades all day long.  It stresses me out.  I LOVE Market Mover Trading for that reason (and  many others) but I do love the fact that our trades are largely much shorter in time, and specific exact times.  So there's no need to sit at a computer screen all day.

Below are two images from my trades today.  The first shows my first trade, and the second shows my net P&L from my second and third trades.

Last night WAS fun, however.

It started out quite innocently.  I had a couple of new sign-ups that wanted to sit down with me and go over set-ups and go through some strategies too.  They asked if others could come too.  Because we were going over specific MMT stuff, I told them that it would be fine, but that the people needed to be signed up MMT'ers.  Then I emailed out to several other people and before I knew it, I had 20 people in my basement and my laptop hooked up to my big screen television going through all sorts of stuff and answering every question in the book.

Now, I can't speak for everyone there, but I had a blast, and I think we learned some things as well.

Anyway, I'm off to hear my daughter play piano for her class today at school.  Here's hoping she doesn't get too nervous like her ol' dad.  :)

Winning is Sweet!

March 23, 2010

Today's trade was much anticipated.  And it went fairly well.  While I only gained 0.5 points of profit, I still was alble to capture over $300 in profit that I did not have when I woke up this morning.  :)

Some of you may remember the "old" me.  Most of you probably do not.  Let me give you a little run down -

Last year at this time I weighed my all-time high of 217 pounds.  Today I weigh 196 pounds and I'm still working on getting that down lower.  Last year, I remember getting sick with colds that would lay me out for a week.  Today, I can't remember the last cold/flu I had that kept me from my normal day of activities.  Last year, I would leave for work at 6:30 AM with my wife and kids still in bed and return from work around 6:00 PM, only to shove food in my face and head off to do my church responsibilities.  Today, I get up, trade, eat breakfast with my kids, take them school, and come back and spend some time with Joy and Kate before move on to other things (work-ish).

There are so many facets of my life that have changed, and honestly, at the risk of sounding cheesy, I really owe it, in large part, to the change that Market Mover Trading, and the accompanying lifestyle changes have made.  I am healthier, happier, a better dad, a much better husband, and a better citizen (well, at least I think I am - and that's half the battle).

So a big thank you to Jason Anderson and Sean Larsgard and everyone associated with MMT that have impacted me for the better.  Here's to you!

And here's to those of you looking in to my life through this blog.  MMT has changed my life in all positive ways, and I am quite confident it will do the same for you - if you let it.

Go out and have a great day!

The Biggest Loser

Thursday, March 18, 2010

Well, more like the "Littlest Loser".  I lost my trade today, folks.  I hope you're all not too massively disappointed in me.  I was disappointed, but it certainly was not a deal breaker.  My last losing trade was over 15 days ago.

This trade simply did not have the movement that usually comes with the information that I received.  Regardless, because the movement was so minmal (and because I had time) I set my stop loss and my profit target and let it run.  Ultimately, though, I decided it was time to get out and I traded out at a 0.5 point loss.

One for the lesson books, I suppose.

Remember, this blog was set up so you could see actual, real, non sugar-coated trading results.  I post my winning trades (I'm currently winning around 87% of my trades) as well as my losing trades (around 10% are losers).  (BTW, if you're doing the math, the other 3% are breakeven or no-trades).  I post everything to give you a real, personal look as to how Market Mover Trading has changed my life and given me something I could never have had before - time!

Before MMT, I was working a full-time, salaried job in the city.  I would arise early and jet off to work long before my kids even got out of bed.  I would be there all day long, and return home in the late afternoon, shovel some food down my throat and rush of to do my church responsibilities.  By the time I got home, my kids were in bed, and the cycle would repeat itself - over, and over, and over again.  I was missing the lives of my kids (four + one on the way) and I hardly ever saw my wife.
Now, life is totally different.  I generally take my kids to school every day and drop them off.  We eat breakfast together and everything.  I see my wife much more than before.  I am involved in their lives, and am looking forward to being a major part of their upbringing - not just an absentee father.

I love everything about what Market Mover Trading has done for me.  And I'm confident that you will too.

For now, have a GREAT weekend!

"It's a dud, I guess..."

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everybody!

In the animated movie Charlotte's Web (which I watched WAY too many times as a child for reasons I won't try to describe here) - (well, maybe I will)...

My oldest sister and I are great friends.  She is nine years older than I am - to the day.  Yep.  We both had a birthday last Sunday.  Anyway, she has Down's Syndrome.  She lives with my parents (always has) and is now 46 years old.

She used to LOVE watching movies.  She would pick a movie and watch it over and over and over and over and over again - often several times in one day.  Her favorites included The Sound of Music, Man From Snowy River, and Charlotte's Web - among others.

Anyway, in the movie, the Goose lays eight eggs.  When the eggs all hatch one of them does not hatch.  When asked why the eighth egg didn't hatch, the gooose replied, "It's a dud, I guess."  The rat then asks, "Whattre ya gunna do with it?", implying that he (the rat) would really like it.  The goose replies, "Roll it away and add it to that nasty collection of yours.  But be careful!  A rotten egg can be a regular stinkbomb."

So with that, today's trade turned out to be a dud.  There was so little movement that I couldn't have gotten in to the trade if I wanted to.

This targeted form of trading allows us to arrive at our computers at a specific time, make a trade (or not - based on the perimeters) and then walk away for the day - DONE!  No hours and hours of long study, trend/forecast watching.  No waiting for opportunities.  We get in and take profits and get out.

I had a group of four guys at my home last night who all recently signed up for MMT and we had a great time discussing what to look for when you are preparing for a trade.  It was a lot of fun and these guys are all progressing quite nicely, if I do say so myself.  So congrats, Andreas, Kevin, Nate and Clark!  You're on your way for sure!

No go have a great GREEN day!

Fed Day! Whew!

Second Trade:

This took me WAY too long to post today.  Sorry for the delay.

I made two trades and won both and was on with the rest of my BUSY BUSY day.

All the best!

Monday, Monday ... So Good To Me

Well, not really.

Yesterday was my birthday, by the way.  So I was coming off of a major sugar high and thinking I was the king of the world this morning.  My wife and kids and neighbors and everybody really spoiled me yesterday, and for that I am grateful.

I was thinking how AWESOME today was going to be with trading  because there were several trading opportunities, so I was GEARED UP!!!  I was going to trade each one and make just marginal gains on each and be the star of the show.

Now, though, it's on to real life.  None of the trading opps turned into anything.  Each was a NO TRADE.  :(

So as the song continues...

Monday, Monday, can't trust that day

Monday, Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way
Oh Monday mornin' you gave me no warnin' of what was to be
Oh Monday, Monday, how could you leave and not take me

So Monday trading came and went without me.  But, at least I'm not going to be second guessing the whole day - waiting for something to happen.  I'm done and on with my day, and it's not even 8:00 AM.

Have a great day everyone!  Tomorrow should be G-O-O-D!

Crazy Day! But Good!

Friday, March 12, 2010

Well, at least it wasn't Friday the 13th, right?!?

The office/den area where I trade is directly above my son's bedroom (which is downstairs).  He is almost six years old, and he is, without hesitation, an EARLY riser.  When we finished out our downstairs in our home, I was super anal about making sure every wall, every ceiling, every place possible was double insulated.  I did not want me moving around lightly upstairs (wait, can a 200 pound man move around lightly???) to wake up the kiddies downstairs.

Guess what, it obviously does no good.  And today was no exception.  Seconds after I tiptoed into my office, there was Nick, begging to use my iPhone to play some video games before mom got up.  Unfortunately, his opening and closing of doors and using the toilet woke up our 18 month old, who then woke up mommy.  I had a room full of family before 6:20 AM!  Good grief people!  Stay in bed!

Today was a great day for trading, regardless of my audience.  Actually (just in case my wife reads this) I was THRILLED to have everyone around me.  With three different trading opportunities, I was ready to go!

My first trade was over in less than eight seconds.  Wow!  When is the last time anyone you know has made $800 in eight seconds.  Let's see, a normal annual salary, if you were to make $100 per second, would be like $7.5 million a year!  But let's get back to reality, people.  As it is, I don't make $7.5 million per year (yet), but the opportunity to make that kind of money in just a few minutes of time is astounding.

My second trade spanned about six minutes, but I was again able to pull in another $800.00.  For the day, even after commissions, I pulled down nearly $1500.00.

I attribute my continued success to the things I have learned from Market Mover Trading - 110%.

Here's to a great weekend everyone!

See you back next week.

Almost Funny Money

Thursday, March 11, 2010

Literally!  In just under two minutes, I added $600 (before commissions) back into my pocket.  This trade was a real cinch and worke out so quickly, that I am completely convinced that ANYONE can do this and do it well.  You can't argue with numbers.

Last night, I had a new Market Mover Trading student, Cort, come to my home to have me help him set up his trading DOM and get him ready for simulation/paper trading.  For those of you who don't know, when you join MMT, you can also get set up with a simulation (fake) trading account where you can execute trades and win or lose and it doesn't cost you a thing.  We recommend all traders, new or experienced, take time to trade with a fake money account before they go "live" trading their own money.  Cort is catching on very quickly.  I'm impressed.

Then this morning, he dropped by just a few minutes before my trade, and sat with me as I made my trade.  We had the chance to talk through it and help him see what I was seeing, in order to help him get a feel for what needs to happen when.  In fact, he asked me earlier for a step-by-step list of what I do to get set up for a trade.  My preparation for a trade begins the night before the trade.  Then I get up, make the trade, and I'm done for the day.

Today, I shut down my computer just 10 minutes later and went and got ready for the day.  That's the style.  That's the way to trade.  Take the opportunity to make some good money in a very short amount of time, and you're done!

Let me know if you have any questions.  I'll be posting again tomorrow.  See ya!

Getting bored. You?

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

I can't believe it's already March 10th.  Time seems to move by so quickly.  This Sunday is the beginning of Daylight Saving Time - which means that Summer is just around the corner .  Weird.

Today, however, it's freezing outside.  I just ran the kids to school and the thermometer in my truck said 35 degrees.  Burrr.   Well, soon, I'll probably be complaining about the heat.  :)

Today I did not make any trades.  I actively watched the Crude Oil market and, what do you know?  It shot up like a rocket right when MMT said it would.  Next week I plan to trade it live!  :)

Tomorrow I will be trading FOR SURE.  I knew (last week) that I likely wouldn't have any substantive trades until Thursday this week - so, while I miss trading and making some good money in a short amount of time, I am still happy with my successes with Market Mover Trading.

Last night was a REAL fun one.  A friend and new neighbor of mine asked me to come to their home to talk about MMT to their good friends.  I connected immediately with these guys.  They were a lot of fun.  We enjoyed a nice time (which turned into THREE HOURS!) and they were pretty excited about Market Mover Trading.

So here's to their upcoming success!

Good luck today in all you do.  Its my Lucy's birthday today so we're fixing for a princess-y good time!

No news is good news, right? Right!

Wednesday, March 9, 2010

If no news is good news, then today is a "good news" day.  :)

There were no trades for me yesterday and a simple, low impact trade today.  I set up for the trade this morning, but didn't get filled on my orders, so I cancelled them after awhile.  The market BARELY responded to the negative information I was seeing, and then went on it's merry way.  So there's really nothing to report.

You know, I often share this little story in regards to market movement -

Picture in your mind a small garter snake moving through the grass.  As the snake moves from Point A to Point B, it bobs and weaves back and forth, side to side as it makes it's way along.  It ultimately gets to where it's going, but it does not go "as the eagle flies", so-to-speak.

So too, is the market.  Price fluctuates up and down and up and down.  You never know when it is going to turn or what the ultimate direction is for the day.  You can ask any market guru what the market is going to do tomorrow, and, aside from any "hunches" or guesses, they will likely tell you that they have no idea.  To put it bluntly, the market is going to do what it's going to do, and go where it's going to go, regardless of what you "think" it should do.

Now, imagine if the proverbial snake in the grass comes up against a large rock or a board, or whatever, as it makes its way across the grassy plain.  What is it going to do?  It's going to go up and around, or down and around the obstacle, and then continue on its way.

Again, the market reacts in a similar fashion.  If the market comes up against some big "good" or "bad" news, then price will go up and around, or down and around the news, and then continue on it's path.  This news movement is what Market Mover Traders all live for.  We live for big market moving news.  We get in, ride the wave up or down, and get out at the right moment.  Then we walk away from our computers and have a life!

Many of the people that I know personally that have joined Market Mover Trading are looking for life-changing opportunities that can help them excape the mundanity of office life, the stress of not having enough money to pay bills, and the chance to be in real control of their own financial future.

That's what MMT and this blog are all about.  I want to simply let you know, and prove to you, that trading at precise, defined times, and having the discipline to stick to some pretty stringent rules, ANYBODY can be successful trading.  And you don't have to sacrifice hours upon hours of time and energy to get it done.  If you're on the fence, or if you simply think it is too good to be true, do yourself a favor and call me.  Better yet, schedule some time to sit down with me one-on-one, face-to-face, and I will show you how you can do this.

MMT is not a sales gimmick.  It is not a farce.  It is real people (like me) having real results and sharing it with those they know and love.

C'mon!  Give it a shot!  What have you got ot lose?

Have a great day.  Check back tomorrow.

Lower Unemployment??? Hummm...

 Friday, March 5, 2010

This was the trade I have been waiting for all week.  The massive spike in volume is a result of better than expected employment numbers from the Federal Government.

Let's take a time out for just a second.  I have absolutely NO intention of making this a forum for political debates or hypothesizing my theories about our government.  And, for the record, I used to be a registered Republican, but am no longer.  I don't call myself a Republican or Democrat, or anything like that.  I consider myself a Conservative Capitalist.  I believe in the free market system and big fish and little fish and all that.  But, when there are nearly one half million NEW unemployment claims every single week, week after week, how can the unemployment rate stay the same?  It just doesn't make sense.  And, on top of that, the continuing unemployment claims are at a continuingly high (growing) rate as well.  So how can one government beaurocracy put out positive numbers and a similar, related group put out negative ones?

That's why I say, "Hummmm".

Regardless - when I put my trading cap on, I don't really care which way the numbers go.  I just want them to go.  And today, "go" they did.  You can see from the chart above that there was a massive spike in movement.  Well, I used that to my advantage to gather nearly $1000 (that's AFTER commissions and fees from my broker) in just a few minutes.

Surprised?  Don't be.  If you're a newcomer to my blog, you probably are a bit surprised - and maybe even a little impressed.  Heck!  I even surprise myself from time to time.  But, if you've visited before, and if you're a fan of Market Mover Trading - or even know anything about it, you likely know how I got my money so quickly and, more importantly, how I get my money so consistently.

So, for the week, and the month of March, I am up 22% on my money.  That 22% is lower than I would like, but it's better than the rate you get from any bank or even other risky venture.  In just minutes a day, I am able to capture the bulk of the income it takes to keep my home running, and to grow my financial portfolio.

"Can anyone do it?", you ask?  Yes.  Anyone can be taught (in a matter of a few weeks) to do what I do.  The education and information I receive from MMT make this not only a no-brainer, but a lot of fun as well.

So if you're questioning it, and would simply like to know more - or, if you think you know what's going on, and you just want to verify it - give me a call or send me an email - and I'll help you find the answers you are needing to make a smart choice for yourself.

I'm just a call or click away -  kevin@marketmovertrading.net or 801.540.0649.

And with that... have a great weekend guys!

P.S.  Registered Market Mover Trading Students or Independent Traders - I have set up a private blog where I show and discuss all the details of each of my trades.  This blog has my entry and exit strategies all laid out in plain sight.  And I offer it to you "free of charge" to help you develop your trading skills and get the same (or hopefully BETTER) results as me!

If you're interested, please email me your sign-up date and your personal sponsor, and I'll invite you in!

Baby Steps Back...

Thursday, March 4, 2010

Yesterday's loss was not any fun, but the rebound is always GREAT!  I had two trades today.  I was extremely conservative with the first trade, because of lower than normal volume and some other factors - but I came out with a win.

Then just a hour and a half later, after getting ready for the day (cufflinks and all), breakfast, and scripture reading with the kids, I was back at my computer and ready for my second trade.  I was able to capture a lot more movement on the second trade and ended up winning $750.00 before commissions for the day!

There are several KEY factors that make MMT different and very realistic for most people.  I want you to consider these for just a second:

First, the cost to get started, both for education and for funding your account is pretty minimal - especially in comparison to other programs that are available.

Second, our trades are scheduled, calendared, and precise.  We don't spend hours upon hours every day trying to milk a few hundred dollars out of the market.  You can still have a LIFE!

Third, the fraternity aspect of MMT is so useful.  I do this full-time, so I offer my services free of charge.  Because if you're successful, I will be successful (cliche, I know).  I am invested in your success (cliche again).  What took me two months to figure out, I can show you in two hours.  I promise.  I offer my own one-on-one "boot camp" to everyone in my group.  If you live far away, I will do my best to mentor and guide you via the internet and phone using gotomeeting, etc.  Just ask my buddy Jon in Ohio.  We've never met face-to-face, but we've talked an awful lot.  And I helped him set up his trading software using my computer - linked to his.  (I got a bit long-winded on this one)

Fourth, the education is pure, precise, and gives you everything you need to know, and nothing that you don't.  Especially as a new trader, you want to get going and make some money.  MMT doesn't bore you with the things that are not useful to trading the way we do.  Then, as you learn, practice, and understand, you can add more knowledge, day-by-day, to make you an even better trader.  Learn what you need to learn and do it in a precise, quick way.  You'll see the results of this education in weeks - not months or years.

There are tons and tons of other MAJOR advantages to this style of trading, but I'll save them for another day when you have an hour to sit down and chill reading my blog.

Most of all, I hope this blog is useful, entertaining, and most of all, informative.  That was the intent.

All the best to you!  Two more trades tomorrow!

Loser Day

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Hello everyone.  I had a losing trade today.  I haven't had a losing trade in awhile - and especially not one this big.  It's disappointing, but managable and certainly not a deal breaker.

As I look back at my trade, I can see several fundamental things that I could possibly have done differently, but as a whole, I simply missed my profit target by one tick (0.25 points) and it turned against me and stopped me out at my stop loss.  Over the following hour, the market went back up and I could have had a winning trade, but we are not hour-long traders.  We trade in short bursts and make money quickly.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's trades.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  See you back here tomorrow.

Love those PRECISE trades!

Monday, March 1, 2010

Well, exactly eight years ago, Joy and I had our first little "bundle of joy" arrive in the late afternoon.  That's right.  Baylee is eight today and she was so excited.  I got up early to get ready for trading this morning.  Jason and Sean are off to London today, so they asked me to do a few things to help out while they're gone.

I walked out of my room at about 5:50 a.m.  There stood Baylee - kind of crouched down ready to scare me I think.  I was shocked that she was awake.  But I guss I should not have been so surprised.  She was stinkin' excited for her birthday to begin.

I didn't trade the first trade opportunity at 6:30.  I was actually prepared to make a trade, and I even put in orders, but cancelled them as the trade did not formulate.  I shut down my trading software and went back to bed.

But, alas, my kids were awake, and it was impossible to go back to sleep.

I then came back in and prepared for my 8:00 trade.  From the image above, you can see that, in about 20 seconds, and I was in, out, and done for the day.  I used a unique strategy that is somewhat rare, but the leading indications were PERFECT!  And the Market Mover Trading Prediction Points were priceless.

It's great to start the month out right, and I'm on to have a GREAT day a home with my wife and kids on Baylee's birthday.  (Actually, Joy swindled me into doing a service project at the local church cannery).

My life has changed dramatically since I quit my office job and was able to really focus on trading.  How nice it is to have time to do the things that I've always wanted to do.  And do them when I want to.  So stop wasting your life away in a stuffy office.  :)

Have a great day!
